a young woman, peers through a dark window.

With a new year comes a whole slew of epic shows to binge and for the thrill-seekers and horror-lovers out there, this terrifying new show is just for you.

Clarice, based on the best-selling novel and movie The Silence of the Lambs, will deep dive into the untold personal story of FBI Agent Clarice Starling in 1993—one year after she came face to face with Hannibal Lecter himself.

Brilliant and vulnerable, Clarice’s bravery gives her an inner light that draws monsters and madmen to her. However, her complex psychological makeup that comes from a challenging childhood empowers her to begin to find her voice while working in a man’s world, as well as escape the family secrets that have haunted her throughout her life. As she returns to the field  to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington, D.C., Clarice has to balance her terrifying past with her potentially dangerous future.

It sounds seriously messed up—just how we like it.

Australia's own Rebecca Breeds (The Originals, Pretty Little Liars) will star as Clarice. She’s joined by Michael Cudlitz (The Walking Dead), Kal Penn (House), Lucca de Oliveira (SEAL Team), Nick Sandow (Orange Is the New Black), Jayne Atkinson (Criminal Minds), Devyn Tyler (The Purge) and newcomer Marnee Carpenter.

Scope out the chilling teaser trailer below.

Clarice premieres 12 February, the same day as the U.S. on Stan, so mark your calendars.

Until then, binge your way through the best shows on Stan and Netflix
