Sombr season could be making its return Down Under, with the breakout pop star teasing a major Australia and New Zealand announcement—and all signs are pointing towards a national tour.

The breadcrumb trail began with mysterious billboards appearing in Tasmania and Auckland’s Ponsonby, splashed with an image of a packed concert and the words “You Are The Reason”. Subtle? Not particularly. Effective? Absolutely.

Then came the clearest clue yet. Sombr has teased an announcement timed specifically for Australian and New Zealand audiences, dropping at 5.30pm ACST, 6pm AEST and 8pm NZST today, Tuesday 1 September. Unless he’s unveiling a very elaborate range of regionally targeted merch, a tour announcement feels all but inevitable.

Everything We Know About Sombr’s Australian Tour

At the time of writing, Sombr hasn’t officially confirmed any Australian tour dates, venues or ticket details. But between the billboards and the precisely timed announcement, the evidence is looking considerably more concrete than your average fan theory.

The phrase plastered across the campaign also matches the name of Sombr’s current You Are The Reason Tour, which is already taking him through major arenas across North America. That makes an Australian and New Zealand extension the obvious theory—although we’ll have to wait for the official reveal before locking anything in.

If confirmed, this won’t be Sombr’s first visit Down Under. The New York singer-songwriter made his Australian and New Zealand headline debut in December 2025, with demand prompting a second Sydney show after the first sold out within minutes.

Since then, Sombr’s trajectory has only accelerated. His debut album, I Barely Know Her, delivered viral hits including Back To Friends, Undressed and 12 To 12, while his rapidly growing profile earned him a Best New Artist nomination at the 2026 Grammys.

There’s no word yet on which Australian cities might make the cut. However, the billboard spotted in Tasmania has fans wondering whether the next run could stretch beyond the usual east-coast circuit, while the Ponsonby teaser makes a New Zealand date—or several—look highly likely.

We won’t be waiting long to find out. Sombr’s Australia and New Zealand announcement lands at 6pm AEST today, and we’ll update this story as soon as dates, venues and ticket details are revealed.
