Sombr Has Announced An Australian And NZ Tour, Here’s Everything We Know So Far

Sombr season is officially making its return Down Under, with the breakout pop star announcing a run of arena shows across Australia and New Zealand in April 2027.

After mysterious “You Are The Reason” billboards appeared in Tasmania and Auckland’s Ponsonby, Sombr has confirmed he’ll bring the tour of the same name to Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland.

The tour begins at Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Tuesday 13 April before moving through Rod Laver Arena, Brisbane Entertainment Centre and Sydney’s newly renamed Afterpay Arena. It wraps up at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Tuesday 27 April.

Interestingly, Tasmania hasn’t scored a date despite hosting one of the campaign’s first billboards—at least, not yet.

• Tuesday 13 April 2027: Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Adelaide
• Thursday 15 April 2027: Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
• Monday 19 April 2027: Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
• Thursday 22 April 2027: Afterpay Arena, Sydney
• Tuesday 27 April 2027: Spark Arena, Auckland

The shows mark a major step up in scale from Sombr’s first visit Down Under. The New York singer-songwriter made his Australian and New Zealand headline debut in December 2025, selling out dates across the region and prompting a second Sydney show after the first disappeared within minutes. He also performed at the 2025 edition of Spilt Milk Festival.

Less than two years later, he’ll return to some of the region’s biggest arenas.

Since his first visit, Sombr has released his debut album, I Barely Know Her, co-produced by Tony Berg, whose credits include Phoebe Bridgers and The Replacements. Breakout tracks Back To Friends, 12 To 12 and Undressed have all reached platinum status across Australia, New Zealand, North America and the UK.

His rapid ascent also earned him a Best New Artist nomination at the 2026 Grammys, while his live résumé now includes appearances at Coachella, Sziget and Lollapalooza. Surprise guests across his international headline shows have included Billy Corgan, Sam Smith, Billy Idol and Laufey.

The singer-songwriter has continued the momentum in 2026 with Homewrecker, Potential and his latest single, My Body Isn’t Ready, which debuted within the top 10 across multiple international charts.

When Do Sombr Australia Tickets Go On Sale?

The Sombr artist presale begins at 10am local time on Thursday 3 September. The Frontier Members presale follows at 10am local time on Monday 7 September and runs for 25 hours, unless tickets sell out earlier.

General public tickets go on sale at 12pm local time on Tuesday 8 September.
