A $900M Wellness-Led Lifestyle Development Has Broken Ground In Surfers Paradise
Surfers Paradise is officially one step closer to scoring one of the Gold Coast’s most ambitious new residential addresses, with construction now underway on South Beach, a $900 million wellness-led coastal development by local developer Andrews.
The sod has officially been turned on site, marking the start of the build for the Miami-inspired project, which will span a 5,700sqm site across three street frontages, just two blocks back from the shoreline on Surfers Paradise Boulevard.

Designed by acclaimed architects Bates Smart, South Beach will rise across two 37-level towers sitting atop a six-level podium, delivering 394 residences ranging from one to four bedrooms. Expect generous wrap-around balconies, dual or triple-aspect layouts, and sweeping views across the ocean, river and city skyline.

Wellness is at the heart of the development, with more than 5,500sqm of private resident amenities designed around connection, recovery and downtime.
We're talking: two palm-lined resort pools, plunge pools, a Hammam, saunas, a gym, sub-tropical gardens, BBQ terraces, a cinema, library and co-working hub, plus a grounding lawn designed for slower moments.

Down at street level, the podium will also include a ground-floor restaurant with landscaped outdoor seating, along with four levels of above-ground parking wrapped in cascading greenery.
With construction now officially in motion, South Beach is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about lifestyle-led builds on the coast. Keep up to date here.
