Calling all wine connoisseurs, lovers of a tasty tipple and all the culinary kings and queens in between, we’ve found the ultimate foodie festival for you to hit up this spring. Whip out your social cal and cancel all plans for 21 September because the Grape, Grain & Graze Festival is rolling into town and it’s going to be deliciously good.
The boutique festival, among the Sydney Showground, follows the conclusion of the Sydney Royal Wine Show—one of the oldest and most prestigious wine shows in Australia.
So you can expect a seriously stacked line up including wine, cider and beer tastings (all medal-winning products from the Sydney Royal Wine Show and products from Sydney Royal Beer & Cider Show), plus grazing stations slinging decadent cheese and charcuterie from Australia’s top producers and pop-up eateries like Bianco’s famous pasta (that alone should get you booking a ticket). It’s a total gastronomic adventure that your taste buds won’t soon forget.
But that’s not all you can expect. There’s also outdoor lawn bars so you can sip while soaking up the glorious spring sun, and live tunes to bliss out too. Make sure you carve out some time to peruse the bustling Sydney Royal Marketplace, where you can have a yarn with top foodie producers while filling your reusable bag with purchases from Sydney Royal medal-winning food exhibitors—and yes, there will be loads of tasty samples to devour too.
General admission tickets will set you back $110 which scores you unlimited tastings of medal-winning vino from the 2024 Sydney Royal Wine Show (as well as a take home wine glass), plus unlimited tastings of beer and cider*.
Your ticket also includes cheese and charcuterie grazing tables, laden with goodies from Meredith Dairy as well as a selection of winning products from the Fine Food and Cheese And Dairy Show—it’s a day filled with only the very best produce.
If you want to dive even deeper into the tipples you’ll be tasting, for just $20 you can join one of the wine, beer and cider or distilled spirit masterclasses where you’ll hear from the experts while wetting your whistle on some excellent drops. These masterclasses are intimate so tickets are limited—aka you’ll want to get in quick.
A day spent discovering new favourite wines, tucking into drool-worthy cheese boards, all backdropped by epic live music in the sunshine—sounds like a cracking Saturday in Sydney to us.
So, whether you’re a vino connoisseur or just love a good excuse to try a range of award-winning sips, gather your fellow foodies and festival-lovers and grab your tickets now before they sell out. Head here to get yours.
