Virgin Australia Just Dropped An International Flight Sale With Return Fares From $429

If your next overseas holiday has been discussed at length in the group chat but never quite made it past the “we should book something” stage, Virgin Australia has just supplied the necessary push.

The airline has launched a limited-time international sale, with return Economy Lite fares starting from $429 and discounted flights available to Bali, Queenstown, Fiji and Vanuatu. You’ll need to move quickly, though—the sale wraps up at 11.59pm AEST on Friday 7 August, unless seats sell out earlier.

Bali Flights

If you’d prefer to lock in the accommodation at the same time, Virgin Australia Holidays by Hopper is also discounting flight-and-hotel packages. Bali packages start from $649 per person, based on two travellers sharing, and include return Economy Lite flights from Melbourne or the Gold Coast plus four nights’ accommodation.

Packages from Sydney to Bali start at $719 per person, while four-night stays with return flights are available from $849 for Queenstown, $969 for Vanuatu and $1,015 for Fiji. 

Discounted fares will be valid across selected travel dates between October 2026 and June 2027. Exact travel windows vary by route, so check the available dates before booking. A small but important suitcase-shaped caveat: these prices are for Economy Lite fares, meaning checked baggage and seat selection aren’t included. The fares are also non-refundable if you cancel, with fees and fare differences potentially applying to changes.
