In our opinion, it can never be too soon to say goodbye to the mediocre, at-home manicures we subjected our hands to during the peak of covid-19.

Lacking an even shape, in need of a good buff and landing less polish on them than the floor around us, the reopening of Gold Coast nail salons, with the latest easing of Queensland restrictions, is the best news our nails have had since this all began.

If you've already cleared your weekend in preparation for all your post-coronavirus beauty needs, you'll want to consult this hit list of the best nail salons on the Gold Coast to find out all their opening details.

The calming and softly-toned interior of Gold Coast organic nail salon, Erva.

ERVA

Burleigh

The Gold Coast’s first vegan and organic salon is the ultimate zen destination. ERVA is Portuguese for herb and forms the basis of the salon’s approach to your treatment. Every appointment, be it a manicure or a pedicure, will include a mix of herbs (to help maintain healthy skin, hair and nails), essential oils (to detoxify and calm) and salts (to deeply cleanse and balance). All polishes used here are cruelty-free, non-toxic and vegan—including their gels—so you can rest easy knowing your pampering sesh isn’t leaving a footprint. So, what's changed since isolation? Founder Leila Davoren said they’ve kept the good stuff and improved on what could be better, including starting their very own herbal garden which will supply the ingredients for their soaks. “You can also expect new scents going through the salon when you open that door, not to mention new creams and scrubs with natural ingredients such as Argan base and floral extracts,” Leila said.
