14 Of The Best Glamping Spots Near Brisbane For Your 2026 Getaway

Sure, the idea of ditching city living to pitch a tent and forage for firewood at a spot near Brisbane/Meanjin sounds great in theory, but to be honest sometimes we just want a glamping experience to make it all more... well... fun.

Camping's one helluva tough gig. There's the sweltering 40-degree heat, blowing up your air mattress to the point of exhaustion, going days without a proper shower and waking up swollen from a mosquito's overnight feast. Glamping, meanwhile, bridges the hotel room-tent similarity gap with its best-of-both-worlds charm featuring a ridic proximity to nature minus the sacrifice of your favourite creature comforts i.e. actual beds.

Enough of the DYO (Digging Your Own) dunny, and the PYO (Pitching Your Own) Tent. Why put yourself through the hassle, when it can already be done for you? And with that, here's Urban List's picks of the best glamping near Brisbane in South East Queensland.

Byron Bay

HideawayTent

  • The bell-shaped HideawayTent best glamping near Brisbane
Image Credit: Ingenia Parks | Airbnb

You'll find these stunning bell-shaped tents at Ingenia Parks in Byron Bay, and we are already packing our bags. Featuring clear windows in the roof of the tent so you can feel like you're sleeping under the stars, the tents are also air-conditioned with an extra-large double bed inside adorned with luxurious linen.

If you don't want to enjoy Byron's dining scene, there's also a communal kitchen hut which has electric barbecues, a microwave, kettles and toasters, as well as a washing-up area. There's a shared barbecue area just outside too—but who wants to cook on holidays?

Insider Intel

We love how this glamping option gives you access to all the Ingenia Holidays facilities, like the swimming pool and basketball court. Oh, and there's beach access too.
