Not much beats reclining under a twinkling night sky, peacefully soaking up all the glittery splendour of the Milky Way. What about a gourmet dining experience discovering the cosmos under the breathtaking southern sky? Yeah, that might just do it. This is what awaits you at A Long Table Beneath The Southern Sky.
An unparalleled astronomical—and gastronomical—experience, A Long Table Beneath The Southern Sky will take you on a journey for the tastebuds—and through the cosmos—on Saturday 25 September. Located in the stunning natural wilderness of Beechmont, you will be treated to a window view of the universe that we city dwellers don’t usually see.
Once you arrive, you’ll receive a complimentary glass of wine and a delicious array of canapes, before diving into the sumptuous dining experience. Think: eye fillet with Diane cream sauce and field mushrooms, eggplant cannelloni with spinach and Neapolitan sauce and smoked salmon omelette rolls topped with caviar.
Throughout your dining experience, you’ll learn about the Southern Celestial Hemisphere from a Gold Coast Astronomy local astronomer, before embarking on a guided dark sky tour of these incredible celestial bodies. Gaze into a range of telescopes (with a glass of vino in hand, of course) and be stunned by the beautiful night sky spectacle. A Long Table Beneath The Southern Sky is all about discovering new friends and the cosmos and celebrating the incredible night sky. We’re here for it.
This unique dining experience is selling out quickly, and at just $90 per ticket, there’s really no reason not to soak up the incredible natural spectacle and learn about the fascinating southern sky, while indulging in a gourmet feast. Now that’s ticking all the boxes.
