Treetop Play Area
Robina Town Centre, Robina QLD 4230
Sometimes you don't need the bells and whistles, you just want a couple of things for the kids to spin, bang on or slide down. While you sit back and watch the world go by. That's exactly what Treetop Play Area delivers. And its inside Robina Town Centre so it's a one stop, many things to see kind of outing.
This place is tucked off to the side of Crema Espresso (which surprisingly has a great selection of vegan treats in the cabinet). It's great if you want a small area for the kids to play in, without the cover charge but still with plenty to do. Or even as a way to break up the shopping day. Parents rooms are comveniently close, as is the elevator. And you won't even have to transfer into the pram before a plop into a high chair at Crema Espresso for some post-play snacks.
First Harvest
33 Hinkler Drive, Nerang QLD 4211
Unsusupecting from the outside and one of the newest indoor playgrounds Gold Coast has swung open its gate to, First Harvest delivers. Located in the same building as the Hillsong Church, you'll find epic coffee, eats and a gated off indoor playground.
Given its newness, this playground is almost always empty, the facilities are in top condition and its perfect for pre-walkers and tiny explorers. Honestly, I don't think many people know about this as everytime I've visited with friends, we've been the only ones there.
It's perfect to come for cuppas and lunch then play the day away sticing magnets to the wall, climbing the ladder into the cubby, pushing around tiny lawn mowers and cars. It's definitely up there with my pick of a hidden treasure on the play scene.
Toddlers Play Room
Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Hooker Boulevard, Broadbeach QKD 4218
You might've noticed Play Street tucked behind H&M on the ground floor of Pacific Fair and thought the alfresco climbing spaces were all that were there. Think again. A wander down this hopscotch-lined walkway and you'll find the Toddlers Play Room tucked off to the side.
With a ceramic tunnel, spinners on the wall, a couple of tables, little seats you can wobble around and steps across a wall, even a metal slide perfect for banging on, it's a great option for little ones. Sure, it's minimal, but it gets the job done if you want to give the kids a bit of time to stretch out those pram legs and burn some energy before heading back into the car.
Pacific Fair also has play areas on level 1 near Target and Big W, as well as ping pong tables on the ground floor next to H&M and Zara if that's more your style.
Paid Indoor Playgrounds
Area 51
Westfield Helensvale, 1/29 Millaroo Drive, Helensvale QLD 4212
The newest indoor playground on the Gold Coast, Area 51 is exclusively for kids up to 12 years old and illuminated by neon lights, giving a space vibe and is fitted out with a heap of purples and blues which feels super galactic.
There are ballpits and slides, places to climb and jump across, even basketball and climb zones. Tickets are for 1-2 hours and from $15 for one to two year olds and from $20 for three to 12 year olds. Head in for a full-on play experience any day 9am through 9pm.
iPlay Adventure
Westfield Coomera, 103 Foxwell Road, Coomera QLD 4209
One for the older kids, iPlay Adventure is an epic indoor centre on the Northern end of the gold coast. This hectic play zone features a massive iPlay arcade with hours of gameplay, a two-tier high ropes course, 23 Clip'n'Climb walls from $25 a pop, mini bowling for $12 a game, and a milk bar. Oh, and a licensed bar for adults.
This indoor playground is best suited to kiddos 5 and up, with a real focus on adventure. I'm impressed that iPlay is open until 9pm on weekdays and 10pm on Friday and Saturday. Did someone say after dinner adventure before bed?
Bella’s Wonderland
Unit 48, 3-15 Jackman Street, Southport QLD 4215
Chances are, you've seen Bella’s Wonderland pop up on socials because it's one of those indoor playgrounds Gold Coast locals all visit at least once. It's designed for both kids and parents, who get to relax and enjoy a coffee and a treat at the cafe while the little ones explore the whimsical, pastel-drenched play area. It's honestly the most Instagram-worthy play centre in my opinion and has a cute kawaii feel about it.
There's a massive ball pit, slides and adventure rooms suspended above the floor for older kids. Plus, interactive activities to discover like the giant piano (that plays when you hit the keys) and a literal train you can pay to ride. Have a little one still learning to walk? Venture upstairs to the adorable grocery stands with baby-sized trolleys, kitchen setups and market stalls.
It'll cost from $20 for under three yeas olds, from $25 for three to twelve-year-olds and those older are free. The space is oppen daily from 9am-5pm and is available for parties too.
JUMMPS
Parkwood Village, 76-122 Napper Road, Parkwood
It's the kind of indoor playground that's less about climbing and sliding, and more about jumping. The suitably named JUMMPS Indoor Trampoline Park is perfect for a rad family outing or throwing the coolest kids' bash, this place is a game-changer. Geared towards the 3-and-up squad, JUMMPS features a crew of top-notch staff and instructors.
Get ready for a wild time on world-class trampolines and mats. They've got it all—from kids' blowout parties to Super Sessions, fitness vibes, toddler zones, and epic viewing spots for the fam to catch all the action. Sip on a drink, munch on snacks, and soak in the good times.
I have been known to join in on the action, which is $21 for an hour or $15 for those three to six years old. Or end the week on a literal high with the 5pm-7pm Friday slot for $21 for two hours. I'm a fan, but I won't lie, the body feels it the next day.
Doodlebugs
6/54 Paradise Avenue, Miami QLD 4220
A beloved southern Gold Coast institution, Doodlebugs is a particularly popular indoor playground Gold Coast parents love. It's just down from the Miami Fish Market if you're familiar with that locale and offers heaps of play equipment and seating perfect for a larger group.
This play centre is actually open weekdays only and 8am-2pm, which works just fine if you're planning a catch-up with the mums group for coffee and playtime. No matter the nap schedule, it's a safe bet that somewhere there all the little ones will be up for a jaunt together.
There are different sections suitable for different ages which means if you have a tiny tot (under one year olds are free) they can pull up on the soft play blocks, roll around balls and crawl through tunnels without bigger kids looming. For bigger kids there are massive slides, an indoor train, outdoor area with cubby house that no one seems to know about, ball machines and cannonball battle zone.
Entry is free for adults, $12 for 1-5 year olds, then $13 for 6-12 year olds or cheaper with multi-visit passes. Whether you’re there for a party or just keen to get the kids out of the house for a while, it’s a day well spent.
Bounce Inc Australia
5 Sunlight Drive, Burleigh Waters QLD 4220
Trampolining has never been as easy and fun as it is at Bounce Inc indoor trampoline and adrenaline playground. My kiddo is all for pulling on grippy socks and hop, skip and bouncing around this giant springy floor space.
There's literally over 50 interconnected trampolines plus cool extras like the X-Park obstacle course. A bunch of friends with babies who are walking through to five years old love the adorable miniBOUNCE zone, while the bigger kids practice their flips and wall walks on the big tramps. It's open every day from 9am and until 5pm Sundays, 7pm Monday through Thursday and Saturday then until 8pm Friday, and tickets start at $13 for toddlers and preschoolers, then from $22.50 for kids over 110cm or $24.50 for teens over 16 years old.

EMF JNR
Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Broadbeach QLD 4218 &
33 Hinkler Drive, Nerang QLD 4211
The beauty of the indoor playgrounds EMF JNRs on the Gold Coast in Broadbeach and Nerang is that they feature a bunch of adventure activities for all ages. Each of the locations is suited to kids 6 months to 12 years old and there's a crèche, supervised play and shop and drop services for the Pacific Fair centre. FYI: at Pacific Fair you'll need to leave any prams outside, so be sure to have your valuables in the nappy bag or your handbag to easily bring them in with you.
I'm particularly impressed with the massive ball pit that seems to go on forever in the Broady spot, and there's always at least one brave toddler crawling through the see-through tunnel suspended above the ground. In my opinion, these are some of the best indoor playgrounds for families with more than one child.
Chipmunks
86-112 Robina Town Centre Drive, Robina QLD 4226
The popular Chipmunks play centre in Robina has been around for a while, and since its suited to babies through to 11 year olds, it's a winner for many. This brightly coloured indoor play centre has heaps of easy-view seating for tired parents needing their caffeine fix from the professional barista on site.
The centre features two indoor age zones: a toddler zone and main zone for older children, so it’s particularly great for families juggling kiddos of a range of ages. If you want to give it a go and have a baby under one year old, it's free to play. Then, $13.90 for those over one and $16.90 for those over three.
Flipz Academy
Southport Park Shopping Centre, 163-171 Ferry Road, Southport QLD 4215
Flipz Academy‘s Trampoline and Ninja Action Zone provide full public access to the trampolines, parkour equipment and rock climbing walls for the highly adventurous and energetic kids among us, year-round. Let's be honest, I am also this energetic on the odd occasion.
But what ticks boxes for me is that it also plays host to a huge array of active kids classes during the term and in the school holidays, including gymnastics, circus, ninja/parkour, aerials and more. Kids under six can play here for up to three hours for $16, and those over six can explore the trampoline park for $22. There's even a kindy gum for walkers to 4.5 year olds which is just as cute as it sounds.
Playing's on the agenda weekdays 9am through 8pm and Saturday 8am-4pm, then 9am-4pm Sunday at this fully fun indoor playground on the Gold Coast.
Inflatable World
61 Newheath Drive, Arundel QLD 4214
One of the best indoor playgrounds for kid’s parties on the Gold Coast, Inflatable World promises to entertain the little ones for two solid hours without breaking the bank.
One of the best features in my opinion is that you’re allowed to bring your own food and drinks with you, if you don’t feel like forking out at the canteen. You can just tell how much fun the kids are having tearing around the huge floor play area, climbing, sliding, jumping and rolling all over the massive inflatables and playing a spot of basketball, too. Parents are invited too. Just for funsies.
The sumo wrestlers scattered around the place are a fun touch and its the perfect controlled environment if your littles are the type who want to climb the walls, literally. It's $17 for kids four and under, then $22 for littlies five and over. Opening hours change, so check them before your visit.
Jungle Adventure Play
31 Proprietary St, Tingalpa QLD 4173
It's about an hour's drive north of the Gold Coast, but I am telling you now - this is the best indoor playground I have ever been to. It's clean, has an immaculate fitout, offers a dedicated play area for little ones with the perfect amount of cruising, crawling and pulling up obstacles. While also appealing to older kids with a play zone featuring massive slides, and even a free jump section onto a massive pillow. This Jungle Adventure Play will blow you away. Plus, the easy parking's a bonus.
There's rock climbing, ziplining, crawl spaces, a tiki forest and a high ropes course. This place can literally do no wrong. They do insist you wear their socks, but the price of them is disolved into your ticket of $17 for those 6 months to two years, from $30 for those two to eight and a range of options for those older.
The food is actually good, there's the option for bevvies for parents and the staff are genuinely lovely. If there's one indoor playground on this list you must visit, hands-down its this one. Time your naps for the roadtrip and you're in for a treat.
