A relic on the Gold Coast Highway, D'Arcy Arms is giving old school pub, with the grit and good chats to match. The oldest Irish pub on the Gold Coast, they've been around since 1988 and know a thing or two about creating a buzz for tourists and locals alike. Irish spice bag dishes are always on the menu. It's this Irish-Chinese dish featuring shredded salt and chilli chicken tossed with stir fried vegetables that pulls a crowd and is well worth adding to your order.
This Saint Patrick's Day they're throwing a three day festival of food, music and dancing, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15, then antics continue Tuesday 17 March.

One for the Northerners, Dublin Docks is my pick for the most modern Gold Coast Irish pub. It's waterfront and attached to Harbourtown which is honestly such a win because it's stunning backdrop makes for the perfect post-shop regroup. There's a bistro bar and a sports bar, plus family friendly options too. While the menu leans towards pub classics, you will find the odd hearty Irish stew and Guiness beef pie with mushy peas and Guiness gravy on the cards.
This Saint Patrick's Day the crew invite you to shake your shamrocks with four days of live music, Irish dancers, live DJs, raffles, best dressed comps and prizes.

Den Devine
15 Victoria Ave, Broadbeach QLD 4218

On the drinks menu you'll find Irish ciders, honeycomb liqueuers and even baby guinness coffee and Baileys throwbacks. This is a music-first venue, and there's a mix of open mic nights and local artist features that feature on regularly rotating lineups.
