A 60s-Inspired Boutique Hotel And Dining Precinct Is Coming To Mermaid Beach
Back in the day, Lennons Hotel was an iconic name on Queensland’s hospitality scene. From its original George Street location in 1884 to the Broadbeach hotel that opened in 1956, Lennons was synonymous with VIPs and it showed in its service, history and sophisticated atmosphere.
But soon, there will be a new Lennons to get to know. It’s a little more playful than its namesake and it’s bringing boutique stays to Mermaid Beach.

From the development firm behind The Oxley 1823, Dankav, this coastal precinct will be where you can find a hotel, dining, retail, and wellness alongside The Alfred Residences. Lennons will hold prime position only moments from the sand, where it take its cues from LA motels to establish itself as ‘a future classic’.
It’s a nod to simple beach holidays, when days are spent in the waves, arvos melt into evenings, and you return every year for a dose of nostalgia. Lennons in particular will serve as a gateway to all the things that make Mermaid Beach special, from its relaxed lifestyle to delicious feeds.

Wake up to ocean views, enjoy a dip in one of the two pools knowing a cocktail is on its way, or find your Zen with the help of the wellness facilities. You’ll find a network of landscaped laneways on street level to explore, home to cafes, restaurants, bars and shopping. There will also be a series of open-air gathering places for visitors, residents and locals alike.
"With Lennons, we're bringing together boutique stays, dining, retail, wellness and residential living in a way that feels authentic to the local community,” said Dankav’s director, Daniel Veitch. “We've taken inspiration from the Gold Coast's rich holiday history while creating something that looks confidently towards the future.”
