Lune Croissanterie Is Finally Opening Its First Gold Coast Location This Weekend
Our time has come, Gold Coast. After dropping major hints on Instagram earlier this month, the famed croissanterie, Lune, is finally opening its first Goldy store for baked-good lovers in Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. Cue the... well… queues.
If you’ve travelled to Brisbane or interstate to line up for a precision-made, twice-baked pain au chocolat, you need know more. The entire range of Lune classics including its much-loved traditional croissants, viral almond croissants, lemon-curd cruffins and ham and gruyère numbers will be coming out of what they’re saying is Lune’s most radical store yet. Plus, the monthly drop of rotating specials will keep you on your toes or trigger some serious FOMO on the reg.

At the new 112m2 spot, you’ll be able to chow down on the goods inside the store while you watch the pastry chefs work their magic—a quintessential part of the croissanterie experience—or take advantage of the outdoor dining (for Pac Fair regulars, you'll find the store near Sephora and Zara). Lune called in the pros, In Addition, to design the space underneath an existing lily pad pavilion in The Resort, that makes for a unique addition to the nine-strong dynasty. While other stores are sleek in design and take cues from owner and founder Kate Reid's background as an aerospace engineer, the Pac Fair Lune is lighter in colour and features a custom mosaic skeleton embedded in the floor inspired by Reid's travels.
"Second only to the beach, I think it's going to be the most photographed thing on the Gold Coast," said Reid.

To celebrate this delicious new opening, Lune is treating locals to a limited-edition banana sundae from Saturday 18 July to Wednesday 5 August. It’s a twice-baked pain au chocolat loaded with banana frangipane, banoffee mousse and choc waffle cone before it’s topped with banana cream, toasted almonds and a bright red cherry.
The store will be opening daily from 8am. Hours-wise, it closes at 9pm from Sunday to Wednesday and 10pm from Thursday to Saturday but Lune afficionados will tell you the goods often sell-out long before then so getting in early is recommended.
