There’s a certain level of groundswell that occurs when award-winning chef and restaurateur Daniel Ridgeway opens a new venture on the Gold Coast. To describe the groundswell as loud would be inaccurate. Resounding would suit. Perhaps even deafening.
Best known for his award-winning Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar, Daniel and his skilled team are bringing a new Asian-inspired restaurant to Palm Beach.

Madame V blends traditional and modern Asian flavours, offering an exquisite à la carte dining experience, a stylish lounge bar, three stunning private dining rooms, and signature Yum Cha Sundays.
The moody venue is filled with rich, emerald-green drapery and furniture contrasted by gold accents and pops of colourful artwork. Think sultry lighting, with chandeliers that cast a soft glow over velvet banquettes and dark leather seating.

Daniel Ridgeway, Owner and Head Chef of Madame V, shared his excitement about the new venture.
“Opening Madame V is a concept I have been working on for quite some time. Our goal is to create a vibrant space where people can enjoy exceptional Asian cuisine in a sophisticated yet relaxed setting."
"We’ve carefully curated our menu to offer a unique blend of flavours and textures from across Asia that will appeal to both adventurous and traditional palates,” said Ridgeway.

Raw plates, sushi, tataki, handmade dumplings and buns star on the carefully curated menu alongside large share-style dishes. Our favourites, you ask? Fine, we’ll share.
Start small with the lobster bao with crispy lobster croquette, cheese, ponzu mayonnaise and salmon pearls, before moving onto the kingfish with yuzu dashi sauce and the beef tartare with miso hot sauce and puffed rice.

The sticky pork ribs with black vinegar caramel is, simply put, exquisite as is the spicy beef tenderloin with sesame, chilli and sweet soy. And if you’re a dumpling fiend don’t miss the handmade Wagyu beef dumplings with chilli spiced black vinegar or the BBQ pork buns.

For sharing occasions, the miso eggplant with sweet white miso is a must-order and for an impressive feast dig into the Wagyu MB 9+ porterhouse with pickled ginger and yakiniku. As hard as it may be to save room for dessert, finish strong with the baked pavlova with strawberry and matcha tea.
If you’re like us and can’t decide, Madame V offers two banquet choices—coming in at a reasonable $49pp and $69pp—which star seven to ten of the Chef’s signature dishes. You really can’t go wrong.

The three private dining rooms are undoubtedly a unique highlight of Madame V and a rarity in the Palm Beach area.
Ridgeway explains: “We have designed Madame V with dark plush curtains all around, just like Little Truffle, so people can have their own private spaces. We have several private dining rooms which can be configured to our guest needs from 10 up to 50 people.”

The Sakura room holds up to 16 guests and can host a private bartender and chef, while the Lotus and Jasmine rooms hold up to 18 guests individually or 50 guests combined.
Madame V opens Thursday 17 October.
