Nestled in the lush surrounds of the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Narrows Escape has long been one of our favourite spots for a weekend getaway, so we can see why it took out the top spot as the most romantic hotel in the world. With only eight cabins hidden among the trees, here it’s all about getting back to nature, and enjoying some alone time with your plus one. Each of the original six villas come with all the essentials, including a fireplace, double spa bath, kitchenette and hammock on the balcony overlooking the rainforest—so keep your eyes peeled for wildlife.
As for those two new cabins, while they've swapped a spa bath for a regular marble bath, they've made up for it with a heated plunge pool on the balcony overlooking the rainforest. Frankly, we can't think of a better spot to get some one-on-one time with bae. There's even a fluffy robe and slippers, a DVD library and a breakfast hamper, to really ramp up the relaxation vibes.
If you want to stay nestled in the cosy, wooden villa we totally get that. But on the off chance you want to venture out and leave the humble abode for a couple of hours, there's a plethora of things you can do while in the beautiful hinterland of the Sunshine Coast; from waterfalls to vineyards, there is plenty to explore in between relaxation sessions.
