Where To Find The Best Oyster Happy Hours On The Gold Coast

By – who loves morning run clubs as equally as she loves negronis and tiny snack plates

If you’ve landed here, we’re guessing you’re an oyster fan—because let’s be real, there’s no middle ground with these ocean gems. And if there’s one thing all oyster lovers can agree on, it’s the pure bliss of smashing through a dozen (or two) without blowing the budget—leaving plenty of coin for a cheeky glass of sparkling to match.

And you'll find plenty of great venues on the Gold Coast—places whose seafood quality you can trust—that’ll shuck you salty rock oysters for around the $2 mark. Fresh squeeze of lemon, little squirt of Tabasco, happy days. You can sit there for hours, pounding oysters like nobody’s watching. Here's the best oyster happy hours on the Gold Coast.

$2 Oysters At Burgster

4/10 Philippine Parade, Palm Beach QLD 4221

Let’s start with the undisputed legend of Gold Score fresh Pacific oysters from South Australia’s famed oyster region, Port Douglas, at Burgster every Friday and Saturday afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. And the cost? Just a cheeky $2 per oyster.

$3 Oyster Hour At Maman

49 James St, Burleigh Heads QLD 4220

Score $3 oysters sourced from Gold Coast-based Al Natural Oysters every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4pm to 6pm at Burleigh Heads’ Maman. And if you weren’t already convinced, they’re serving a special 2-for-1 cocktail menu during the same hours. Double win.

$2 Oysters At Las Palmas

1097 Gold Coast Hwy, Palm Beach QLD 4221

Slurp down $2 oysters every Thursday to Sunday from 4pm to 6pm at the vibrant Las Palmas in Palm Beach. The coconut margarita paired with natural oysters is our go-to combination at Las Palmas.

Half Price Oysters At Holy Ship

Marina Mirage, Seaworld Dr, Main Beach QLD 4217

It doesn’t get much better than the daily Holy Hour at Holy Ship, where you can score $8 house wines and Great Northern Beers paired with half price chilled oysters. By our calculations that roughly comes to $2.25 per natural oyster. Running from 3pm to 5pm daily, you can soak up Broadwater views from the impressive seafood restaurant and bar converted from two meticulously restored 1970's timber trawlers.

Half Price Oysters at Surfers Pavilion

30/34 Ferny Ave, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217

Make tracks to the waterfront Surfers Pavilion any weekday from 4pm to 6pm and you’ll score half price freshly shucked oysters. We did the math—that’s $2.75 per oyster. Choose from Kilpatrick, tempura wakame and wasabi mayo and Mignonette oysters.

$3.50 Oysters At Orzo

Oracle Bvd, Broadbeach QLD 4218

Bringing sophisticated coastal Italian to Broadbeach, Orzo is the kind of restaurant you save for special occasions—except when you can hit their daily Snack Hour from 3pm to 5pm. Dig into natural oysters or pink peppercorn and prosecco mignonette oysters for $3.50 each. Pair it with a $10 Aperol spritz or $12 margarita and now we’re talking.

$3 Oysters At MĀRE

La Luna Beach Club, 74 Seaworld Dr, Main Beach QLD 4217

Sundays just got a whole lot hotter at MĀRE by La Luna Beach Club’s Seafood Sundays, where you can dig into $3 oysters against the backdrop of Broadwater sunset views and live DJ tunes. From 12pm to 4pm every Sunday, you know where to find us.

Monsieur Chow, the refreshed new direction of the former Ally Chow, is our Mermaid Beach go-to for cheekily cheap oysters. They’re serving $3 oysters from 3pm to 5pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday—paired with a Thai basil caprioska and you’re ticking all the boxes.
