Three Jack Russell dogs sit on top a hay bale with a sign that reads welcome to our farm.

Polish your boots and grab the esky—the Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trail is popping up again for 2022 on Sunday 13 March, with more than 20 farmers and small producers welcoming visitors.

Just over an hour from Brisbane, the Scenic Rim was named as one of the top ten regions in the world to visit this year, and the Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trail is the perfect excuse to jump in the car, directly support the primary producers that feed us, and take in some of that fresh countryside air.

Showcasing the huge variety of agriculture in the area, the 22 participating farm gates and small businesses include Running Creek Beef (where you can hand-feed the weaners), Tommerup’s Dairy Farm, Scenic Rim Mushrooms, and Olive View Estate, where you can pick up freshly pressed olive oil.

Don’t miss cuddles with lambs at Towri Sheep Cheeses, camel feeding and rides at Summer Land Camels, and picnicking with new friends at Mountview Alpaca Farm or among the flowers at Pretty Produce.

For boozy experiences, you can visit Sarabah Estate Vineyard, Scenic Rim Brewery, O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard (where you can enjoy a picnic on the creek with a $10 tasting paddle), Witches Falls Winery, The Overflow Estate 1895, Tamborine Mountain Distillery, and Cauldron Distillery, with its sweeping view of the vineyard. Loads of the locations on the Trail welcome dogs, too.
