Move Your Body At This Restorative Pilates Session

Rock ’n Rewind

Throw on your best retro outfit and get ready for a nostalgic night under the stars. Rock ’n Rewind is landing at Sanctuary Cove this weekend, bringing two evenings of throwback anthems to the waterfront with a pair of high-energy tribute shows celebrating some of music’s biggest eras.

Friday night kicks off with The Sensational 80’s Show, a lively celebration of one of pop and rock’s most iconic decades. Expect powerhouse vocals, bold costumes and wall-to-wall hits from the artists that defined the era.

On Saturday, things turn theatrical with The Killer Queen Experience, a full-scale tribute to legendary rock band Queen. With soaring harmonies and stage theatrics that honour Freddie Mercury and the band’s unforgettable live performances, it’s set to be a show packed with sing-along classics.

Guests are encouraged to dress for the era and settle in for a relaxed outdoor concert in the picturesque marina setting. One lucky ticketholder will also score a luxury two-night stay at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, complete with breakfast for two.

GC Laughs Festival Kicks Off At HOTA

With everything that’s going on in the world right now, it’s clear we’re all in need of a good laugh. Lucky for us Gold Coasters, the GC’s favourite comedy festival—GC Laughs Festival—is kicking off this weekend, and the catalogue is stacked.

Expect ab-workout level laughter with jokes from the likes of Lizzy Hoo, Luke Heggie, Matt Okine, and many, many more, alongside some local legends, too. I highly recommend having a scroll through the talented lineup and squeezing in as much laughter therapy as possible.

If you’re looking for the craic this St. Patrick’s season, D’Arcy Arms Irish Pub is going all out with a massive three-day festival in Surfers Paradise. The Gold Coast’s oldest Irish pub will be serving up live music, traditional Irish dancing, pipe bands and a buzzing outdoor marquee stage from 14–17 March.

Immerse Yourself In The Awe-Inspiring Works Of Aka Sorbie: Saltwater Heart

Grab the family and step into a brilliant world of colour, culture and storytelling at Aka Sorbie: Saltwater Heart, a new Children’s Gallery exhibition at HOTA. Created by acclaimed First Nations artist Lisa Sorbie Martin—known to family as Aka (grandmother)—the immersive space brings memories of her Torres Strait childhood to life through bold patterns, ocean-inspired artworks and interactive play. 

Kids can explore coral-filled undersea scenes, build cubbies in the island hut, discover patterns in nature and get creative at Aka’s art table. Designed to bring freshwater and saltwater people together, it’s a beautiful opportunity for families to connect with First Nations culture while sparking curiosity and imagination.

A Monday night out? If it’s at Rosella’s then you know it’s definitely worth stepping out on a school night. That’s right, one of the Gold Coast’s favourite bars is hosting a new series of chef takeovers, kicking off with some excellent tastemakers, Tom Norbury and Melvin Cheema. 

Both come with impressive credentials and a passion you’ll be able to taste. The theme of the evening is British classics, and there may even be a pint of Guiness to wash it down with.

The Gold Coast is teeing up four days of sport, food and lifestyle when the Gold Coast Festival of Golf returns to Sanctuary Cove this March.

Centred around the Australian WPGA Championship, the festival will transform the waterfront precinct into a celebration of everything golf—from elite competition to hands-on experiences and community events. The Palms Golf Course will host the world-class tournament as top women golfers compete for the Karrie Webb Cup and a $600,000 prize purse.

Beyond the fairways, the festival expands into a full lifestyle event. Expect a golf exhibition showcasing the latest gear, travel experiences and tech (including simulators and interactive challenges), plus plenty of food and drink—from craft brews to boutique wines and festival-style eats.
