Doughed

It’s no secret that we’ve fallen head over heels for Doughed, and for three very valid (and delicious) reasons…cookies, doughnuts and sandwiches—need we say more? 

Hope Island’s newest sweet tooth’s haunt has been drawing crowds from all over the Gold Coast since its doors opened in March, and once you sink your teeth into their delectable treats, you’ll understand why. 

They’ve already made it into our best toasties article thanks to their drool-inducing sandwich options. Our go-to is the mortadella medley, which is stacked with mortadella, salami, mozzarella stracciatella, and rocket with a balsamic glaze, semi-dried tomatoes, green pesto, and a drizzle of house-crafted chilli honey; it speaks for itself, really. 

They are also producing some of the best doughnuts and New York-style cookies around. We’d wander up to the northern end of the Gold Coast solely to grab one of their red velvet cookies or a Biscoff doughnut, although we know that once you’re there, there’s no way you’re leaving with just one thing.

The cherry on top (or strawberry, perhaps) is that they also serve up top-tier brews and velvety matcha, including everyone’s favourite strawberry iced matcha. 

And it all comes wrapped in aesthetically pleasing branding to boot, making the experience as pleasant for your eyes as it is for your tastebuds. We’re counting our lucky stars that Doughed is open every day of the week, ‘cause we don’t know what we’d do without it.
