The Gold Coast’s dining scene is heating up once again with the arrival of LiTO—the brand-new all-day Italian restaurant landing on the ground floor of Mondrian Gold Coast.

Equal parts coffee bar, coastal eatery and neighbourhood hangout, LiTO blends the sun-drenched rhythm of Italian summers with laidback Burleigh charm, serving from sunrise to starlight with flavour and a healthy sprinkle of flair.

From post-surf espressos to after-dark negronis, LiTO is a love letter to the Mediterranean way of life, reimagined for our iconic stretch of coastline. With interiors by Alexander &CO., the venue channels relaxed sophistication, combining textured Mediterranean detailing with the effortless breeziness of beachfront dining. Think indoor-outdoor flow, umbrella-shaded alfresco tables, and a semi-private chef’s table beside the open wood-fired kitchen.

At the helm is Head Chef Andrea Morigi (ex-Uccello), bringing a produce-driven menu shaped by local ingredients and timeless Italian technique. Expect hand-rolled pasta, wood-fired meatballs, lobster bucatini, and crispy calamari you’ll be dreaming about long after the last bite.

Mornings start strong with Sicilian poached eggs, house-made maritozzi, and provolone-stacked bacon and egg focaccias, paired with Allpress coffee, an early spritz or a compelling bloody mary, if you're so inclined.

“It’s about joy on the plate—handmade, wholehearted, relaxed,” says Morigi. “LiTO invites you to settle in without watching the clock—for a long lunch, a slow dinner or anything in between.”

The drinks list is no afterthought either, with a strong lean into coastal wines, local and Italian pours, and a signature cocktail lineup that’s built for golden hour. From the mandarin garibaldi to the venetian paloma, and a standout negroni selection, every sip feels like an ode to la dolce vita.

Add in a dose of warm hospitality and a curated soundtrack of beachy beats, and you’ve got a space that welcomes you any time of day—and any way you like to dine.

LiTO will be opening its doors from 5 June, but bookings are available here.
