Get Your Game On At Ballers Clubhouse, The Mega 2500sqm Bar Sports Venue

By Rick Stephens

A sunlit mega bar.

A new ‘supervenue’ known as Ballers Clubhouse is now open in Melbourne. The luxe bar, eatery, social club, and bar games mega-hub comes in at a hefty 2500sqm, which will make it the largest licensed venue in the CBD.

The venue has been designed with good times in mind, and if the 75 beer taps aren’t convincing enough, the world-class bar games should get you over the link; think 12 pimped-up ping pong tables, six techy dart booths, shuffleboard courts and even an immersive VR playhouse. There’s also a lofty patio for you to lax out on in the banana chairs after that expectedly competitive game of ping pong.

While the Ballers Clubhouse sounds akin to a big kids playground, the mammoth funhouse is drenched in a certain level of class, too. You see, the team behind it consists of Pawn & Co’s founders Josh Lefers and Stephen Wools. The high level of hospo pedigree has been complemented by Elle Critchley Design, who worked with the team to co-design a perfect fusion of tech, luxury and fun.

Those wanting to celebrate the end of lockdown, or any other milestone for that matter, with just their mates and no one else can make use of one of the 10 function rooms. Each have their own theme—notable mentions include the Baby’s Got Backspin Room and the Ballers Penthouse for anyone wanting to get boujee.

Ballers Clubhouse opens on Wednesday 9 December. Bookings are recommended, but with a space of that size, you’d be just as likely to get a walk-in spot at the table, by the pingpong or shuffleboard courts, on the patio or even in that VR room. Yep. It’s big.

Make a night of it and check out the Melbourne bars doing walk-ins here.
