Dig Into This Limited-Time Food And Drink Pairing At Bincho Boss In March

By Courtney Ammenhauser

Bincho Boss snack with Toki highball drink

There’s nothing better than a refreshing drink to take the sting out of the warmer months. Our drink of choice lately? A light, bubbly and downright delicious Toki highball.

If you’ve never tried the Japanese whisky, this is your sign to try it. Even better, sample it at Melbourne CBD haunt, Bincho Boss, while the restaurant is serving up its limited-time dish alongside a Toki highball throughout March.

We asked Bincho Boss Executive Chef, Tomotaka Ishizuka, to create an exclusive dish that pairs perfectly with a refreshing Toki highball. The end result? A tasty tempura snapper and bacon roll with yuzu mayo that you have to eat to believe.

Let us talk you through this delectable dish. Fresh snapper is wrapped in bacon then deep fried and served with a dreamy yuzu mayo. Paired with a classic Toki highball, this is our idea of a match made in snack heaven.New to Toki? It's a Japanese whisky from the legends at House of Suntory. The word toki means 'time' in Japanese and the spirit is an innovative blend of three whiskies from three renowned distilleries—Hakushu, Chita and Yamazaki that pays homage to both Japan's respect for tradition and its innovative spirit.

The Toki highball itself is simplicity at its best. Over ice, 30ml of the Japanese whisky is topped with soda water and is served with a twist of lemon—refreshing, easy to drink, and most importantly, delicious.

Keen to give this perfect pairing a taste? Head to Bincho Boss from Wednesday, 1 March till Friday, 31 March to see what all the fuss is about.
