Food And Beverage
So, we’ve got you hook line and sinker to the racing event of the season, but surely there's a bev or two floating around? Now, imagine it's not just a lonesome bev, but a luxury marquee with live music performances, day-long food and cocktail packages and the most prime view of the track. We are of course talking about The Avenue, the prime trackside location which is home to Bar Aperitivo, St. Hubert's and The Champagne House presented by Moёt & Chandon. Each of these opulent marquees has different inclusions and is available to book over all three race days which you can discover here– just be warned, these are sure to be snapped up quickly, so book ASAP.
GA ticket holders do not fret, you’re still in for a fantastic setup thanks to The Field’s transformation into a foodie’s wildest dream. Cornerstone restaurant of Melbourne, Pinchy’s, have lent their best and brightest produce and chefs to the grounds and will be slinging prawn and lobster rolls on the Neds Caulfield Guineas Day, the Schweppes Thousand Guineas Day and of course the Carlton Draught Caulfield Cup Day. Food trucks Food & Co (gourmet burgers), Mary And A Little Lamb (Greek), Burn City Smokers (BBQ) and Taco Nachos (Mexican) are also pulling up, so you're sure to find something to feast on. Quench your thirst at the Carlton Draught Beer Garden with freshly tapped Carlton Draught dispensed from their onsite copper tanks or try a cocktail or six from the uber-aesthetic Gordon's Polo Club.
Fashion
To fascinate or not to fascinate?! Here's the tea: It's your best race-day dresses with or without straps (whatever fashion dictates), gents, NO jeans or denim, polo shirts, cargo shorts, sneakers or thongs, casual jackets like those with zips and bare midriffs. Keep your eyes peeled, we may or may not have a roundup of the current trends in racing fashion in the works.
Entertainment
A celebration of all things racing if we’ve ever seen it, it's well and truly all going down on The Field. Right from when the gates open, a round-up of Melbourne's best DJs and Bands are going to be up and running on the Carlton Draught Live Stage, providing a downright euphoric soundtrack to the day. If all of this wasn't enough, head into the Gordon's Polo Club to be awakened from your winter slump with spring decor, MORE live music and entertainment. Plus, the trackside will feature a massive Carlton Draught Caulfield Cup photo moment ready for you to snap and share STRAIGHT to the gram.
