After 10 Years Of Dishing Doughnuts, This Melbourne Bakery Just Dropped A New Savoury Range
We know this might sound crazy, but hear us out.
You already know that Daniel’s Donuts has spent the last decade perfecting the art of our favourite sweet treat: the doughnut. They’ve gone from one (revolutionary) 24/7 store in Springvale to more than 50 locations across Australia.
Now, to mark their tenth year in the doughnut biz, they’ve surprised us all by launching an entirely new all-day savoury range, and we think it’s worthy of making Daniel’s your next breakfast, lunch, or dinner spot.
So, What’s In The New Savoury Range?

Daniel’s Donuts is offering eight brand-new savoury options with one very familiar base. Their signature soft, fluffy dough is reimagined as the vessel for hunger-stopping savoury fillings that will have you covered for everything from a weekday brekkie to a dinner run.
Think Southern Fried Chicken with chipotle aioli, a Classic Reuben with corned beef and dijonnaise, Pepperoni Pizza, Taco Time, and a very Aussie Cheese and Vegemite option, perfect for the purists among us.
The full lineup is:
- Southern Fried Chicken: Chicken, Lettuce, Coleslaw and Chipotle Aioli
- Pepperoni Pizza: Pepperoni, Cheese and Napoli Sauce
- Taco Time: Chicken, Corn Chips, Lettuce, Coriander and Salsa
- Classic Reuben: Corned Beef, Pickle, Cheese and Dijonnaise
- Brekkie Bite: Bacon, Scrambled Egg and Tomato Relish
- Aussie, Aussie (v): Cheese and Vegemite
- Chicken Caesar: Chicken, Parmesan, Bacon, Lettuce and Caesar Dressing
- Ham, Cheese, Tomato: Ham, Cheese, Tomato and Mayonnaise
From Springvale To Australia-Wide
None of this—sweet or savoury—would exist today without the first 24/7 store in Springvale. Founder Daniel Bartalotta opened the first Daniel’s Donuts store in 2016, after growing up in his family’s bakery at Hogan’s Corner in Hoppers Crossing. His core idea was a simple one: offer an enormous and ever-changing range of doughnuts, pies, coffee, and shakes, and offer all of it around the clock.
Needless to say, the people of Springvale ate it up. Queues stretched through the car park and cult favourites emerged. In fact, the Fresh Cream & Jam doughnut became a smash hit that remains the brand’s top seller to this day. A decade later, the first humble Springvale store sparked a network of over 50 locations across Australia, with sweet doughnuts also available via a national partnership with 7-Eleven.
And now, the new all-day savoury range is without doubt the biggest menu move across ten years of big moves.
Where Can You Try It?
The new all-day savoury range is available exclusively at 26 participating Daniel’s stores across Victoria and Albury. Each savoury item is priced at $5.90, or you can mix and match with a four-pack ($22) or eight-pack ($42). We reckon the eight-pack is a pretty good way of working your way through the entire new lineup.
Whether it’s a quick on-the-go brekkie or a no-cook dinner, Daniel’s new savoury range is well worth a visit to your local participating store. A savoury range from a doughnut store might sound strange—but we’re pretty confident it’ll win you over.
