Snap Up Some Freebies
You’ll be pleased to know that Fed Oasis is also giving away some epic freebies to celebrate. On next Friday, January 22, from 12.30pm until 4.30pm you can score deliciously free soft serve ice cream as well as fresh coconut water, spot the roving gulls and enjoy live music on-stage. Then, if you’re sticking around for the outdoor cinema you can snap up free popcorn from 4.30pm – 7.30pm and enjoy a Splash/Dirty Dancing double-bill.
Endless Entertainment
The completely free program will see the big screen turn into an outdoor cinema screening films, a silent film series in partnership with ACMI and live orchestra score along with sporting events, including the Australian Open, AFLW and AFL. The main stage at Fed Square will host a series of gigs featuring a grip of Victorian artists and musicians, plus a selection of free in-person grassroots masterclasses and workshops.
Fed Square’s usual free daily wellbeing program of mat pilates, Tai Chi and Qigong is also getting an update late January with the addition of burlesque, belly dancing, Hawaiian Hula, matcha making, cocktail masterclasses and more. Click here to check out the full program.
Mouthwatering Morsels
Whatever you’re planning on getting involved in at the iconic square, you’ll be able to order direct from your phone from the surrounding restaurants and have it delivered straight to your beanbag. Now that’s our kind of alfresco dining.
You can devour Middle Eastern delights from Mama’s Canteen, a delicious pub feed from Transport Hotel, mouthwatering sushi and Japanese fare from Chocolate Buddha and a slew of delicious eats from Timeout Cafe. Safe to say you’ll be able to satisfy almost any craving at Fed Oasis.
