A Westinghouse Pop-Up Is Serving Free Messina Ice Cream For One Day Only In January

By Louis Costello

Calling all East Coast residents (or anyone who finds themselves in the area in mid-January) free ice cream is headed your way.

Whip out the calendars and mark down 20 January as the most important day of the year, as limited edition Messina ice cream will be popping up in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne—the perfect treat to get through that Aussie summer heat.

Our pals over at Westinghouse are happy to help keep you cool over the summer, transporting these free Messina mini paddle pops and flavoured milks in three matte black 564L French door fridges—one fridge for each city—and those very same fridges are up for grabs when you go to get your ice cream fix.

With a 4-star energy efficiency rating, in-door dispenser, spill-safe shelves and large door bins to pack with your sweet treats, your Messina haul is well and truly in safe hands

The one-day pop-up activation will be serving up mini paddle pops from choc jersey milk and gluten-free coconut passionfruit to choc malt, dulce de leche and the classic strawberry flavoured milks while stock lasts.

As Messina is usually known for having lines down the block over summer, getting a taste of its famous sweet treat for free is unheard of, so power-walk down to each location (Bondi Beach, Queensbridge Square or Queen Street Mall) as early in the day as possible—these treats won’t stick around for long.

You can win one of the Westinghouse French door fridges if you’re at the activation in person, so there’s now two huge reasons to get out of the house on 20 Jan. Free mini paddle pop, flavoured milks and a new addition to your kitchen all in one day? That’s a belated Christmas miracle.
