Good Good Burger Is The Charming 30-Seat Haven That’s Just Opened In Melbourne’s West

By

A shopfront with a red roof.

A food so nice they named it twice. Good Good Burgers is the new look for this shopfront on Mitchell Street in Maidstone, a joint venture between owners George Tawil and Isaiah Inocencio, both native to Melbourne's west.

The pair have held the space for over four years and successfully ran venues at the site including the former crowd favourite, Souv Baby. Both George and Isaiah were looking for new inspiration and found it in the form of hand-pressed burgers.

With a moniker referencing the 90s cult film Good Burger, this westside operation is a charming 30-seat dine-in/takeaway shop with a minimal and retro feel where the love for the craft is evident.

Pickles and sauces are made in-house, and every ingredient is considered right down to the precise amount of tomato slice for each burger's surface area.

The menu taps into a lot of the usual suspects which we've come to love from a modern burger store including grass-fed double beef patties with cheese oozing down sandwiched between a golden-topped milk bun.

There are also fried chicken options with the 'Classic' which features a dense potato roll with an immaculately fried piece of chicken spilling out the bun with cheese and pepper mayo.

Accompanying the burgers is a selection of soft drinks, milkshakes and even their very own beer on tap; the Good Good Draft and Pacific Ale is developed in collaboration with a local brewery just down the road in Avondale Heights.

Good Good Burgers is located at 128 Mitchell Street, Maidstone, find out more over here
