Following a sell-out tour in the USA and UK, the official Harry Potter: Forbidden Forest experience—an enchanting outdoor adventure—is set to captivate the Mornington Peninsula region in April 2024. Presented by leading entertainment discovery platforms, Fever, Warner Bros. and IMG, this whimsical experience has since been relocated ahead of the launch and will now see The Briars Community Forest in Mount Martha transform into the depths of a dark and mystical forest.
Inspired by the forbidden forest and iconic creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series, the immersive trail will bring to life a plethora of your favourite Harry Potter creatures, including but not limited to Hippogriffs, Unicorns, and Nifflers—without any ominous presence of dementors or, dare I say Lord Voldemort lurking in the woodlands.
With mesmerising lights enveloping the landscape, The Briars is set to illuminate, making for an enchanting experience reminiscent of the wizarding world. Potterheads will also have ample opportunity to practice casting their spells, from the classic ‘expecto patronum’ to the handy ‘accio,’ transforming visitors from muggle to wizard (if you catch my drift).
As the trail ends, visitors will encounter a themed village, where food, drink and perhaps butterbeer await. There’ll also be a gift shop, ensuring that attendees can get kitted out in Harry Potter attire.
Regardless of your Hogwarts house affliction—be it Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin, all are welcome to step into the enthralling experience.
To secure your spot in this highly anticipated experience, tickets will be available for purchase from Monday 18 December for an opening date of Saturday 6 April.
