Meatstock, The Festival Celebrating All Things Low And Slow, Is Returning This Year

By Rick Stephens

Australia’s acclaimed barbecue festival, Meatstock, is returning to Melbourne on Saturday 23 October and Sunday 24 October with a smoking lineup of legends, meats and music.

All your major players in Melbourne’s ‘que scene and beyond will be there, firing up their hearths and smokers for low and slow affair. Expect the likes of Limp Brisket, Bluebonnet, Señor BBQ, Red Gum BBQ, Hoy Pinoy, and Burn City Smokers by the barbie, along with international guests Blue Oak BBQ and Louie Mueller BBQ to name a few.

The Meatstock team has called in some heavyweights on the music front, too, with Aussie legends Jebediah taking a harpoon straight to your nostalgic feels. Jazzy trio, Cookin’ On Three Burners are also slinging some tunes across the weekend—no bonus points for anyone picking up on the theme there.

Anyone who’d planned on getting down to Meatstock in 2020 will recall its cancellation at the 11th hour. So if you’re still holding on to a ticket, do so a little longer as you’ll be able to get yours reissued for this year’s event.

Tickets to Meatstock 2020 are on sale now.
