With summer around the corner, the Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC) is gearing up to welcome the Darebin community on Monday, November 13, following an extensive 18-month transformation.
The renovation project was not just about bricks and mortar but was driven by a shared commitment to community values, placing a strong emphasis on enhancing the well-being of the northern suburb’s residents and facilitating a welcoming space, inclusive of all community members.
The revamped indoor aquatics now include an eight-lane 25-metre heated pool, a dedicated learn-to-swim pool, an aquatic play area replete with water slides, and a warm water pool with an integrated spa among other facilities.
In the outdoor area, you’ll find a 10-lane 50-metre pool, along with a nature-based splash pad—perfectly suited for the younger kiddies.
The newly unveiled fitness and wellness centre boasts an expansive 800 square metre fitness centre and versatile space, accommodating activities including, reformer pilates and group fitness classes.
To get a glimpse of the impressive facility, join NARC in their ‘Big Warm-Up’ community event on Sunday, November 12. Get more info over here.
