Get Swinging: London’s Pitch Golf Is Coming To Melbourne

London’s cult golf and social club Pitch Golf is heading to Australia, with Melbourne set to be home to the first venue. Slated to open in Cremorne in October 2026, it’s the latest of many indications that the city’s appetite for experiences and social venues isn’t slowing down. And given golf club memberships in Australia have increased by 24% since 2019 (according to Golf Australia), it’s no wonder we’re next in Pitch’s golfing crosshairs. 

Here’s everything we know about the Melbourne venue so far.

What Is Pitch Golf? 

Pitch Golf was founded in London in 2015, and is best described as an accessible social golf club that’s designed for everyone—not just the usual members-and-polo-shirts elite. 

If its locations across London (City, Canary Wharf, Soho) and Dublin are anything to go by, the Melbourne venue will allow guests to book a bay and use state-of-the-art Trackman simulator technology to play virtual rounds on world-class courses from around the world. You can also take on social mini-games like Bullseye and Nearest the Pin for a more relaxed session with mates. 

Food and drinks, like shareable small plates, cocktails, and wine, can be delivered straight to your bay, which is exactly what makes it as much a social venue as a sporting one. 

Where Will Pitch Golf Melbourne Be Located?

Pitch Golf has committed to a tenancy at Matchworks in Cremorne for its first Australian site. Matchworks is the mixed-use redevelopment of the former Bryant & May Redheads factory site at 560 Church Street, and spans more than 2,000 square metres. The precinct will also include hospitality, retail, wellness spaces, and Australia’s first iteration of the popular UK hotel chain, The Hoxton. 

Cremorne is fast becoming a lifestyle and hospitality centre in Melbourne, moving away from its previous reputation as an office precinct where creative agencies ruled the roost. The recent boom in fitness centres, wellness providers, wine bars, and cafes has made it a drawcard for international operators like Pitch, who want a central location with social character. 

When Will Pitch Golf Melbourne Open? 

Pitch Golf Melbourne is slated to open in October 2026.
