Following six previous sell-out releases, Melbourne legends Starward are back with a fresh and zesty batch of their limited edition Ginger Beer Cask Whisky #7—and now they want to celebrate.
For one night only on Sunday, May 29, Starward are inviting you down to their distillery for a damn delicious feast and whisky-filled night, headlined by New Quarter’s head chef Scott Lord.
Taking you on a culinary journey from start to finish, prepare for zingy and sweet spice undertones of the Ginger Beer Cask Whisky tied nicely with the spicey flavours of New Quarters' three-course spread.
We’re talking a wagyu beef intercostals skewer, lemongrass sate, topped with a whisky glaze and sprinkling of sawtooth coriander. Next on the menu is a mini Banh mi with BBQ crispy pork, fermented chilli, New Quarter’s bespoke pate, and pickles. For the seafood enthusiasts, dig into Banh Xeo Cracker, spanner crab, finger lime, and canh cua.
Don't love meat? No worries, there will be a beaut vego option of mini grilled asparagus with pickled shiitake, enoki, shiso crispy garlic, and yuzu soy.
You’ll of course be treated to a cocktail upon arrival with the option to purchase exclusive cocktails you won’t be able to try anywhere else throughout the night. Should sipping neat be more your thing, whisky tasting will also be available.
