The Exchange Hotel's crowd favourite Beach Club has had a helluva summer over in Port Melbourne, and they've got one more week (and weekend) of bottomless spritz, those now-famed lobster rolls and cabana day bed action before they pack down until SS22.
Beachgoers can expect a container bar with a full kitchen. The drinks list has been dialled for summer, with several spritz-y cocktails on tap, a grip of seltzers and your usual suspects such as big frosty pints and plenty of wine.
The food offering is equally summery. Get your hands around the likes of lobster and prawn rolls, a wagyu sliders, then clear the palate with something sweet—hello ice cream sandwiches.
You can’t go wrong with whichever day you visit. $2 oysters on Tuesdays between 4pm and 5pm, a happy hour from Monday to Wednesday 4pm – 6pm with selected drinks at a modest $6, and a hefty bottomless brunch on Sundays from 10am to midday—coming in at $60pp, it entails free-flowing beers, cider, Aperol Spritz and Prosecco plus an item from the menu. The choice is yours but going in on the lobster roll here is surely the right way to go.
You’re free to take your chances on a walk-in, but you’d be silly not to book ahead if you’re hoping to nab one of the deck chairs, beachside cabanas, day beds, picnic tables or lounge. The Exchange Beach Club is also pooch-friendly, so don’t forget Fido.
The Exchange Beach Club is here until Sunday 30 January.
