The funniest time of the year is nearly back upon us, you guessed it, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is once again gracing the city with its slew of wisecracking, sarcastic, irreverent, and just plain wild comedians from all over the globe.
Kicking off on Tuesday 30 March and running until Sunday 24 April this year’s annual laugh congregation features over 400 shows. In addition to the city-based shows, this year’s Comedy Fest includes ‘Neighbourhood Sessions’, which will see shows pop up in Melbourne’s sprawling suburbs including Thornbury, Narre Warren, Werribee, Moorabbin, Footscray and more; giving every punter a chance to drop in for a giggle.
This year's lineup includes the likes of comedic royalty such as Phil Wang, Australian treasures Aaron Chen and Becky Lucas, Flo & Joan, David O'Doherty, Fern Brady, Carl Donnelly and plus a stack of local and international talent.
The staple festival events will still be going ahead including The Gala, the Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow, The Great Debate, and the Comedy Club for Kids to name a few. With the festival only a few weeks away now is your time to lock in a show, to see the full lineup or to book tickets head on over here.
