Expanding its artistic footprint across Victoria, Wall to Wall is making its way to the beachside suburb of Mordialloc from April 26 to 28 following a successful stint in Benalla.
In Melbourne’s first official street art precinct, the project breathes new life into the long-forgotten industrial enclave of Mordialloc with the unveiling of vibrant large-scale murals by some of Australia’s top street artists and three acclaimed international artists.
Curated by Shaun Hossack, a leading figure in Melbourne’s street art scene and the brains behind renowned projects like Silo Art Trail and Collingwood Housing Project, Wall to Wall transforms and revives abandoned urban spaces with Mordi Village Arts and Cultural Precinct serving as a hub of creativity and community engagement.
A diverse range of styles and perspectives from acclaimed artists such as Smug, Adnate, Mountjoy (creator of Filthy Ratbag), Gorge Rose and French artist Zoer, among others, will converge in these industrial laneways, creating a captivating tapestry of eclectic art.
In collaboration with Mordialloc’s newest culinary venue, Urban Ground, Wall to Wall is set to host a block party on Saturday, April 27. With big-name DJs featuring on the lineup including Byron Bay’s April Kerry, owner of Fitzroy record store Natural Selection, Charles Eddy, Berlin DJ and artist Blo among others, the once-forgotten streets of Mordialloc will awaken.
The party isn't limited to tunes and spirited street art with food trucks, market stalls, workshops and open studios making an appearance as well as tastings of contemporary spirits courtesy of local distillery Saint Felix available as you peruse around the animated precinct.
