Think you’ve tried some crazy bites? Unless you’ve been to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, think again. Between blockbuster attractions and spectacular shows, it’s easy to forget that the four theme parks—Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOTDisney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park—plus Disney Springs Area, are also a foodie paradise made for adventurous eaters.

It’s a food-lover's playground packed with playful creations like electric-blue noodle bowls and maple-bacon donuts, plus plenty of Mickey-shaped treats. Add in outta-this-world dining experiences that require advanced reservations (there’s literally a restaurant set in space) and magical Character dining moments, and it’s impossible not to feel like a giddy kid again.

These are the best Walt Disney World Resort outposts serving the most wild but brilliant bites for open-minded taste testers with an “I’ll try anything once” philosophy. Let’s dig in.

Satu’li Canteen

Pandora—The World of Avatar, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

satu'li canteen

Ever had Na’vi cuisine? Located in the Valley of Mo’ara, Satu’li Canteen serves up otherworldly dishes inspired by the world of Avatar, reimagining familiar Earth flavours with ingredients from "Pandora.”

Take the Ocean Moon Bowl, built with Na’vi-coloured blue noodles, raw tuna, watermelon radish, rainbow carrots and other veg, or the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods; fluffy bao buns stuffed with ground beef, ketchup, mustard, pickles and cheddar cheese, served with slaw and veggie chips.

After your feed, journey into the bioluminescent rainforest on the Na'vi River Journey or soar across Pandora on the breathtaking Avatar Flight of Passage.

Cheshire Café

Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom Park

cheshire cafe

Tumble down the rabbit hole and into the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland at Cheshire Café, a charming fairytale cottage kiosk near the spinning teacups of Mad Tea Party.

This “curiouser and curiouser” spot serves tea-party-worthy treats such as the grin-inducing Cheshire Cat Tail; twisted puff pastry woven with chocolate, finished with a drizzle of pink and purple icing, and the Merry Unbirthday Cupcake; a sprinkle-filled delight crowned with tea-infused buttercream.

Wash it all down with The White Rabbit, a cold brew coffee with white chocolate sauce, raspberry cold foam, a dusting of raspberry powder and a piece of chocolate.

eet by Maneet Chauhan

Disney Springs Marketplace, Disney Springs Area

eet by maneet

From Chicken Tikka Naan Pizzas to Tandoori Chicken Poutine with chaat masala fries, celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan’s outpost, eet, brings a collision of cuisines to the Disney Springs Area.

The menu injects Indian aromatics in fan-favourites like the Walking Taco; a bag of crunchy chips burst open and piled high with spicy pork chilli, Indian pico de gallo, tamarind chutney and cotija cheese.

For a customised feast, you can also build your own bowl, layering fragrant rice, proteins and colourful sauces.

Space 220 Restaurant

World Discovery, EPCOT

space 220 restaurant

Ready to dine beyond the stratosphere? Space 220 Restaurant launches guests 220 miles above Earth to dine among the stars, beginning with a special elevator ride to the Centauri Space Station.

Blast off into a prix-fixe menu of space-themed lift-offs (appetisers) and star dishes (main courses). Two courses are offered at lunch and three courses at dinner.

Galactic creations include the Neptuna Tartare, Starry Calamari, Slow Rotation Zero-G Short Rib and sweet send-offs like the Cosmic Cheesecake and Stellar S’mores.

Young astronauts can enjoy a kid-friendly menu of Mozzarella Moons, Grow Zone Crudités and Spaceghetti. And as with all great space missions, it's best to plan ahead, with reservations recommended before takeoff.

Tusker House

Africa, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

This safari-style buffet is brimming with African-inspired dishes to journey through, with hosts Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and their other Disney friends stopping by to greet you in their safari outfits.

For breakfast, there's Mickey- and Simba-shaped waffles and South African French Toast Bulkas, while at lunch and dinner, you can tuck into Berbere-marinated pork and North African pilau, plus seasonal savannah-inspired creations for dessert. There are also comforting classics for younger adventurers. Advanced reservations are recommended for this popular hotspot.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ

Toy Story Land, Disney's Hollywood Studios

roundup rodeo bbq

Prepare to be shrunk down to the size of Andy’s favourite toys as you dine in a cardboard box rodeo arena. This western-themed, family-style BBQ joint lets you choose between a platter of house-smoked meats, loaded with Evil Dr. Smoked Ribs and “There’s a Sausage in my Boot” (aka Fire-Grilled Pork Sausage), or Trixie’s Plant-based Trio platter featuring Rip Roarin’ Rib Chop made from Barbecue-seasoned and glazed Impossible® Beef.

A bread service, salads and sides like Slinky Doooooooooog's Mac & Cheese are all included, with a pick of one dessert per guest from the chuckwagon. We’d go for Cupcake à la Forky: a gooey chocolate cake with a graham cracker, buttercream and Forky-shaped sugar cookie. This place is popular, so make sure to book in advance.

Everglazed™ Donuts & Cold Brew

West Side, Disney Springs Area

everglazed

This totally over-the-top donut shop leans heavily into funky and funkier creations, including unapologetically excessive loaded rings and sweet-and-salty mashups.

Instagrammable picks include the maple-iced donut loaded with candied bacon, jumbo chicken tenders served with a classic glazed donut, and the peanut butter topper: a Reese’s Nitro iced cold brew with the straw peeking through a sugary Peanut Butter Explosion donut. Hot tip: mobile ordering can save time during peak hours.

Cinderella's Royal Table

Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom Park

cinderella's royal table

If dining inside a castle with Disney Princesses has been on your bucket list since childhood, Cinderella’s Royal Table is a fairytale come true. This one-of-a-kind, storybook experience begins with a greeting from Cinderella herself in the Grand Hall before you ascend to the regal banquet room.

Once you’re seated for a royal, family-friendly feast, you’ll be visited by the Disney Princesses for autographs and photos—little princesses and princes are encouraged to don their sparkliest tiaras and glitteriest gowns.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are on the cards with a whole menu for younger diners. Save room for the signature Clock Strikes Twelve dessert, a chocolate ganache tart topped with salted caramel-coffee mousse. This is another super popular dining experience, so you’ll want to make a reservation in advance.

Gideon’s Bakehouse

The Landing, Disney Springs Area

gideons bakehouse

The cookies at Gideon’s Bakehouse may be more “normal” than the rest of these feeds, but they’re just too good to gatekeep. Handmade from scratch daily, the Original Chocolate Chip has a soft, cookie-dough-like texture that lives up to the hype.

Plus, every month, the bakehouse switches up its sixth flavour, taking seasonal inspiration. The Frankenstein Cookie became so epically popular that it now drops every October, just in time for Halloween. Made with a mega amount of M&M’s, crushed Oreo Double Stuff and chocolate pieces, it's the kind of treat you’d hope to get while trick-or-treating.

Aloha Isle

Adventureland, Magic Kingdom Park

aloha isle

Located right next to The Magic Carpets of Aladdin®, Aloha Isle brings DOLE Whip® to Adventureland. The popular pineapple soft-serve can be served as a swirl in a cup, crowned on top of a frosty pineapple juice float or dolloped alongside a pineapple upside-down cake—take your pick.

Fun fact: It was developed as a non-dairy soft serve alternative, debuting in the Magic Kingdom Park in 1984. On a hot day, this icy snack is a lifesaver that's worth lining up for.
