When it comes to bars and eateries, it’s safe to say we can never have enough. So when we heard of the brand new bar gracing the Ozone outdoor dining and entertainment precinct at Westfield Knox, we were all ears.
It doesn’t get much better than alfresco dining in summer and pop-up Lyrebird Bar serves up just that, allowing you to tuck into a meal under the stars or sip on a cocktail under a sunny sky. The precinct itself is impressive, to say the least, with the whole of Melbourne Street having been transformed into a pedestrian-only access street until mid-March 2021, so you’ll want to make sure to catch this while you can.
What To Expect
Taking inspiration from its stunning natural surroundings of the Dandenong Ranges, you can expect a lush, nature-inspired design. And yes, the ‘Lyrebird’ name is after the range’s native bird. The bar features various (very COVID-safe) seating zones, spaces for live acoustic performances, and DJ sets as well as a shipping container bar with plenty of tasty dining and take-away options. This place definitely sets the mood for a good time.

The Lyrebird Bar is your go-to for a delicious cocktail, partnering with Fonda Mexican to create an exclusive 'Lyrebird'' cocktail along with frozen margaritas, beer, wine & more. When it comes to the food, you’ll be pleased to know you can enjoy take-away from any of the venues in the dining precinct and enjoy in Ozone Park. What are your options we hear you ask? Well, the world is your oyster at Westfield Knox with burgers from Grill’d and Schnitz, woodfired pizza from The Groove Train, feasts from Khazana Indian Restaurant, German feeds from The Bavarian, mouthwatering pub fare at The Sporting Globe and Hogs Breath Café, Mexican from Fonda, epic eats from Billy’s Kitchen, Chinese from Angie’s Dumplings and Korean street food from Seoul Kitchen.
