What’s Open In Melbourne On Friday 26 January, 2024
As much as we love a public holiday, 26 January (what is currently officially known as Australia Day) is a complex day for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and here at Urban List, we believe it is not a date to celebrate.
While many Melburnians are packing the car and heading off for a quick long weekend escape, plenty are keeping things local—and let’s be real, there’s no shortage of top-tier spots to eat and drink right here in the city.
If you want some ideas for what you can do on the day to support First Nations people, head here. But if you’re taking the day off and are looking for somewhere to eat, scroll down to find what’s open on the 26 January public holiday in Melbourne.
