White Night Is Returning For Two Illuminated Weekends In 2021

By Kate Fleming

This year, Melburnians have said goodbye to White Night and welcomed the new RISING Festival, but two lucky regional towns are still in the spotlight for the OG festival of lights. White Night will be lighting up Bendigo on Saturday 2 October, and Geelong on Saturday 6 November this year.

There will be installations, visual art, films, projection and light shows, music and performances at both events. See local landmarks and buildings transformed in a spectacle of light, and show some love to our regional towns when the festival returns later this year. To sustain you through the night, there will also be street food on offer.

If you’re creatively inclined or know a friend who is, applications are now open for artist expressions of interest in both locations. Applications are open until 5pm Friday 28 May for Bendigo and Geelong alike.

Check out the lineup for RISING while we wait for the White Night lineup to be announced.
