Wild Life Bakery Has Just Opened A Mini Supermarket Dedicated To Bread, Pastry And Cheese

By Simon Cassar

The outside of a store with the sun shining and people walking past.

Not one to rest on their laurels, The team from Wild Life Bakery has just announced the opening of their second locale on Sydney Road in Brunswick. The all-new Wild Life Superette (small supermarket) will be a charming neighbourhood bakery, grocer and cheese providore.

Taking over the former fromage haunt Harper & Blohm near the corner of Albert Street, the light-filled store with white-washed walls and patterned architrave will stock a selection of freshly baked bread, Viennoiserie, coffee from Market Lane, providore items and house-fermented pickled goods.

Alongside the staples the introduction of a full cheese selection is the biggest differentiation from the OG store, there'll be a rotating array of local and international cheeses starting with the team's personal favourite Colston Basset Stilton as well as Comté and more.

All the usual Wild Life favourites will still be in town from flour-dusted loaves and baguettes to a tidy collection of pastries and cakes including their famed Basque cheesecake.

Wild Life Superette opens officially Wednesday 1 February at 365 Sydney Road, Brunswick. Head over here for more information.
