Whether you’re a diehard Socceroos fan or simply get a buzz from watching the world’s most elite football stars belt a ball around a field, the 2022 Soccer World Cup is cause for serious celebration. Not sure where to get amongst all the action? The crew at neds have you sorted with the ultimate World Cup hub set up at Club neds inside, Munich Brauhaus.
Running from 20 November to 18 December, this soccer shindig will be worth blocking out your social cal for the duration of the cup so you can spend it at the custom-built club inside the South Wharf Bavarian beer hall. And no, you don’t have to be a complete soccer stan to enjoy it.
Picture this: you and your mates soaking up all the good vibes while watching the games on the big screen, tucking into schnittys and warm pretzels while cheering on your team. Pro tip: order the Oink Oink Platter (pork schnitzel, pork belly, half pork knuckle, nürnberger sausage, creamy mash, apple compote and bier jus) and wash it all down with an ice-cold stein or one of the bar's tropical mango beers.
But that's just the beginning of the good times happening at Club neds during the cup. A section of the sprawling space will be transformed into a live-streamed talk show discussing all things World Cup. Yeah, it’s a serious flex and we’re 100% here for it.
Hosted by Ben Homer—one of the best sports commentators in the biz—the show will consist of a live panel of A-list guests. It'll be your chance to hear firsthand from former Socceroos, current A-League players and local football influencers including Luke Wilkshire, Zeljko Kalac, David Carney and Ante Covic.
The panel will have a pre- and post-game discussion about the daily feature game so you can expect some heated convos as these passionate soccer legends talk shop. There'll also be merchandise giveaways (who doesn’t love a freebie?), plus scannable QR codes around the beer hall so you can get the latest tips and promos for the World Cup.
Socceroos fans will want to book in some annual leave for Tuesday 22 November when the Aussies take on France in their first game of the Cup. Keep Saturday 26 November and Wednesday 30 November free to see the Socceroos take on Tunisia and Denmark respectively.
So what are you waiting for? Score bragging rights among your mates for the duration of the tournament by organising your footy celebrations at Club neds, inside Munich Brauhaus.
Take your World Cup experience to the neds level and book your table at Munich Brauhaus now.
