Academy Kitchen and Bar in Richmond brings together a host of top culinary talent under one roof. The bar and eatery has just launched its new breakfast menu and serves some of the most delicious food in Melbourne—think panettone with cinnamon, lemon and chocolate sorbet; eggs benedict on polenta with cider braised pork hock, kale, poached eggs and hollandaise; and sweetcorn and zucchini fritters with crushed avocado, cherry tomatoes and poached eggs.
The menu is handcrafted by chef and owner Will Manning, with a kitchen team who earned their colours at London's Foliage, La Trompette and Smiths of Smithfield, and at Melbourne's The Deanery on tow. The dinner menu leans on modern European cooking, with a twist—Prawn brodo risotto with saffron, mussels, cherry tomatoes and basil sits alongside southern fried chicken with crispy cornbread.
