Situated in a quiet residential block in Kew, Adeney Milk Bar is fast becoming a favourite of locals and the not-so-locals alike. Once selling musk sticks and milk duds, the corner milk bar has been given a new lease on life by James and Cat Laskie, a brother-sister duo who've created a winning combination of good food, coffee and neighbourly hospitality. Their breakfast menu has something for everyone, with classics such as smashed avo, good ol' fashioned cheese and ham toasties, and sesame-seed bagels filled with salmon, cream cheese, chives and cucumber. Feeling a little nostalgic? You can still buy $1 lolly bags and giant-sized freckles.
