The Verdict
Light, buttery and deliciously flaky — a freshly baked croissant will have even the strictest dieter unravelling at the seams. Much loved South Melbourne bakery, Agathé Pâtisserie, has opened a second patisserie to tempt you from your healthy eating goals.
Follow your nose to find a shopfront so petite (as the name implies), it can fit under the stairwell. The slender glass cabinet is stacked high with sweet Danish pastries, creamy custard hearts and puffy chocolate croissants. You’ll have to arrive early to get a box full of Nutella Brioche buns (trust us, they’re worth the early wake-up) and Hulk-green matcha croissants.
Freshly baked treats are delivered Wednesday to Friday from Agathé Pâtisserie’s South Melbourne site, just in time to start your workday on a (pastry) high.
