The Details
The Yarra Valley has certainly made a name for itself in the distilling game over the past couple of years. Melbourne Gin Company, and Four Pillars are well known for their gin, but now there’s a new player in town—Alchemy Distillers.
Laneways aren’t exclusive to the CBD, and you’ll find Alchemy Distillers tucked away in a laneway off the main street of Healesville.
Set up inside an old bakery, you won’t find wood-fired ovens here, in their place is a 1,000-litre Hybrid Pot Still which allows more versatility and allows them to offer their three core products—Chamomile Gin, Quinoa Vodka, and Moonshine, along with a variety of limited small-batch spirits.
Upon your visit, you’ll also find a cellar door bar at Alchemy, along with an outdoor beer garden flooded with greenery.
