The wellness trend right now is definitely holistic health. A little bit of mindfulness, a little bit of yoga, throw in some clinical Pilates and a nutritionist meal plan. Maybe some massage.
The focus is prevention rather than cure—living a balanced and healthy lifestyle every day, instead of waiting till your body breaks down.
All For One is big on the holistic approach. It’s a new all-in-one wellness centre in Yarraville, the brainchild of husband and wife super-team Nadine and Richard Scott. Richard is the main physio on the team, which includes yoga instructors, Pilates experts, masseurs, dieticians and meditation guides.
The idea is to offer a range of treatments, classes and wellness plans, tailor-made for every individual. You can sign up for a membership pack, which gets you unlimited yoga, pilates, meditation and spin, or just rock up for the odd casual session. There’s a range of options, depending on your budget.
Richard and Nadine are also hosting inspirational wellness workshops (the first one’s about self-empowerment and features ultra marathon runner, Samantha Gash). You can check out the website for upcoming events—the idea is to foster a real sense of community. All for one and one for all, and all that jazz.
The space itself is everyone you want in a wellness studio. Little Zen breakout spaces for yoga and meditation, high industrial ceilings, blonde timber and a beautiful kitchen-cum-cafe space up front, facing the street. There's even a range of co-branded teas, designed with the guys from Impala & Peacock. Just what you need after a long day at the office.
If this is what a healthy lifestyle looks like, sign up the hell up.
