Arkwright & Co. has taken a former textile factory on Carlton's Nicholson Street, held by the family of co-owner Bryce Ritchie for decades, and transformed it into the cutest 1950s-style tearoom and cafe. Seven Seeds provide the beans for great coffee and there's a long list of specialty teas. Monarchists will love portraits of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip gazing down from the wall; republicans can lob scrummy pastries and sandwiches at them.
