Attica
The verdict
Regularly ranking in the world's top restaurants, Ripponlea's Attica sits at the pointy end of Melbourne's fine dining scene. The three hatted restaurant offers five to eight course dinners during the week, and a special Tuesday night Chef's Table where diners can critique Head Chef, Ben Shewry's, latest culinary experiments.
The menu is deceptively simple, with dishes like Gazza’s Vegemite Pie, Wallaby Blood Pikelet and Anzac Marshmellow appearing in this degustation. Showcasing the highest quality produce, on Fridays and Saturdays diners can enjoy the eight course menu, with a vegetarian option also on offer.
The restaurant itself is moody, sleek and undeniably upmarket. Think deep grey walls, stylish black chairs and muted black and white art. What are you waiting for?
