The Verdict
Brunch fare just got interesting! Aucuba is a small cafe in the back streets of South Melbourne, featuring plant-based Japanese-influenced dishes. You won’t find your standard smashed avo or pulled pork brioche buns here, but you will find green tea soba noodles, truffled umami mac & cheese and kale chips. They also roast their own specialty coffee in-house, boasting a laboratory-like brew and espresso bar, accented by the most amazing blue pineapple wallpaper!
