BAM Street Food
THE VERDICT
The fuss for BAM Street Food all started when owner Cal began (literally) smashing patties in his garage. From there, BAM quickly grew into a mobile pop-up sensation before landing in its thriving brick-and-mortar home in Altona.
Their lacey-edged smash burgers are the undisputed star, wrap your laughing gear around the Onion Smash, a smashed beef patty, with thinly sliced sweet onions, American cheese, pickles, tomato sauce and mustard on a toasted milk bun.
The secret? They won’t say, but we can guess it has something to do with the custom beef blend from Paddock to Table, a family-run butcher who provides beef from their home-raised cattle—or maybe it’s those house-made sauces.
Lucky for us, BAM keeps things exciting with rotating specials like tacos and loaded subs, to show they’ve mastered more than just burgers.
