As if they weren't busy enough, the family behind Pillar of Salt, Touchwood and Tall Timber have ventured north of the river and opened Barry, a cooler-than-cool café on High Street, Northcote. Covering breakfast and lunch, the menu features a range of inspiring dishes that go above and beyond the average café fare – think cucumber and gin cured ocean trout on a salad of freekeh, roasted cauliflower, shredded kale and pomegranate seeds topped with a soft boiled egg (drool!). The folks at Barry also cater for the gluten-free, vegan and health conscious, with delicious-and-nutritious dishes like their coconut sago pudding, Californian superfood salad and raw zucchini lasagna. Of course, their coffee is also insane, made with their own blend of 5 Senses. We know where we'll be next Saturday!
